We are seeking a sharp, motivated Litigation Legal Secretary with 3 to 5 years of experience to support a busy litigation desk. This role is ideal for someone who understands the flow of litigation, can confidently manage daily responsibilities with minimal training, and is comfortable taking ownership of attorney support. While the firm is happy to offer refreshers on firm-specific procedures, this position is not intended for candidates who require training from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide full litigation support to three attorneys, managing desk workflow efficiently and proactively
* E-file documents in both state and federal courts (prior federal e-filing experience required; refresher available if needed)
* Maintain and manage attorney calendars, including court deadlines, hearings, and appearances
* Prepare, revise, and format legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and filings
* Coordinate court filings, service of process, and internal litigation deadlines
* Communicate professionally with attorneys, court personnel, and internal team members
* Assist with general administrative and litigation-related tasks as needed
Required Qualifications
* 3 to 5 years of litigation legal secretary experience
* Prior experience e-filing in both state and federal courts
* Strong working knowledge of court rules, procedures, and litigation deadlines
* Demonstrated ability to run a litigation desk with minimal training
* Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document formatting
